How it works

  1. Drop your WebP images

Drag your .webp files into the box, tap to browse, or paste them. Add as many as you want.

  2. Conversion happens on your device

Each image is decoded and re-encoded as a JPG locally, in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server.

  3. Download your JPG files

Save each converted image, ready to open in any program, upload form, or document.

Why use this tool

  • Unlimited batch conversion — no 2-file or 5-file free limit like server-based tools
  • Your images never leave your device: conversions are 100% local
  • JPG output that every program, form, and printer accepts
  • No account, no watermark, no waiting queue

About the WEBP format

WebP is an image format created by Google that websites love because it makes pictures about 30% smaller than JPG at the same quality, which speeds up page loading. The trouble starts when you save one of those images: outside the web browser, support is inconsistent — older photo viewers, office software, some upload forms, and many printers still refuse .webp files outright. Converting to JPG solves the compatibility problem in one step.

About the JPG format

JPG (JPEG) is the most widely supported image format in the world: every computer, phone, printer, program, and website accepts it. Converted files keep their original dimensions and are saved at high quality (92%). One honest note: WebP supports transparency and JPG does not, so transparent areas of a WebP image are placed on a white background in the JPG. If keeping the transparency matters, convert to PNG instead.

Frequently asked questions

Why do images I save from websites come out as .webp?

Because the website serves WebP to your browser to save bandwidth — Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari all display it natively. The file only becomes a problem later, when a program or form outside the browser refuses it. Converting it to JPG removes the problem permanently.

What happens to transparent parts of my WebP image?

JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent pixels become white in the converted file. Logos and graphics with transparency are usually better converted to PNG, which keeps the transparent background intact.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

Never. The converter runs entirely in your browser. Your images are decoded and saved on your own device; nothing is transmitted, stored, or seen by us.

Can I convert many WebP files at once?

Yes. Add as many files as you like and convert them in one batch. There is no free-plan file limit because the work happens on your device, not on our servers.
