Convrtr (convrtr.io) provides free file-conversion tools that run entirely in your browser. This policy explains, in plain language, what that means for your information. The short version: your files are never sent to us, we have no user accounts, and the only third parties involved are the ones that deliver the site's files, keep it secure, and show the ads that keep it free.

Your files never leave your device
Every conversion happens locally, in your browser, using WebAssembly technology. Your files are not uploaded to our servers — we do not have servers that receive files — and we cannot see, store, or share them.
When you start a conversion, your browser downloads the conversion software from a public content delivery network (jsDelivr). Like any file server, that network receives the standard technical information needed to deliver the file (such as your IP address and browser type). Your own files are never part of that exchange.
Information we do not collect
- No accounts, no sign-up, no names or passwords.
- No copies of the files you convert or of the results.
- We do not sell personal information, and we never have any to sell.
Storage on your own device
The site saves two small preferences in your browser's local storage: your light/dark theme choice and the list of tools you used recently, shown on the home page for your convenience. This information stays on your device, is never transmitted to us, and can be erased at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
Cookies and advertising
This site is funded by advertising served through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com) or www.aboutads.info. You can also learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, a consent message powered by Google will let you accept or refuse personalized advertising before it is served.
Hosting and security logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. To deliver pages quickly and protect the site against attacks, Cloudflare may process technical information such as IP addresses and browser details, in accordance with Cloudflare's own privacy policy. We do not receive copies of your converted files through hosting — there are none to receive.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under Quebec's Law 25, Canada's PIPEDA, and the GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information about you. In practice, the only personal information we may hold is an email you choose to send us. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within the time required by law.
Children
This site is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new update date.
